Trusted by top research companies

Hi, we're Zac and Jack, the founders of Terac. We want to talk to you directly, because you are the most important part of what we're building.
Terac is a community of experts. People who have spent years getting good at something specific and hard. The world is about to need more of you, not less. As AI takes on more of the world's work, the bottleneck shifts to the people who actually know what they're talking about.
Expert labor is the rarest resource in the world right now, and it is shockingly hard to find. The companies that need a senior PM's eye on a real product spec spend weeks chasing people, paying placement fees, and settling for whoever is available. Meanwhile thousands of qualified people are sitting with knowledge that no one ever asks for.
That gap is what we're here to close. Every project that lands on Terac is routed to the people who actually know the answer, on their schedule, paid fairly, and only when the work is verified. No middleman taking a cut of your time. No vague gigs. No chasing checks.
We care about every single person in this community. If you join Terac, you're not a row in a database to us. We read the feedback. We answer the emails. We will fight for you when a customer is being unreasonable, and we will be honest with you when something on our side is broken. The quality of this panel is our entire company, and we owe you a serious bar.
If you've made it this far, here is what we're asking: claim your profile. Put your expertise on the record. Let the world's most ambitious teams come find you for the work only you can do.
Product / Platform Experts questions
Still curious? Write to us at support@terac.com.
Platform and developer-experience PMs are among the most in-demand profiles. Models are increasingly evaluated on API design critique, SDK docs review, and onboarding flow assessment. Your reasoning about contracts, versioning, and developer ergonomics is exactly the judgment that is hard to synthesize. Consumer and B2B SaaS experience helps too, but it does not crowd out platform backgrounds.
A typical task presents an AI-drafted brief and asks where the reasoning breaks down, what evidence is missing, or how a JTBD practitioner would approach it. You are not expected to adopt any single framework. You apply the thinking your career built, and explain why an output would or would not hold up in a real product review.
Credentials signal fluency and help us route you, but they are not hard gates. A track record owning discovery through delivery carries more weight than any certificate. Lapsed credentials or an older designation like the AIPMM CPM still qualify. What matters is whether your lived experience matches the task domain.
You are not required to disclose your employer, though you may. Before each session you see a domain summary and can decline any where you judge a conflict. You will never be asked to share confidential roadmaps, internal benchmarks, or customer data. All inputs come from Terac or the client, not from you.
Growth and data PMs are specifically useful for AI-drafted metric frameworks, experiment critiques, and north star metric definitions, where general profiles lack depth. If you have hands-on experience with Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Pendo and a background reviewing A/B test plans, you are a strong fit for tasks generalist PMs cannot evaluate well.
Why your expertise matters
Product AI scores a feature high on RICE while ignoring the constraint that kills it in sprint two, and plans discovery that never surfaces the real user need. Separating a coherent roadmap from a plausible feature list takes a working PM. Your corrections teach these tools the difference between a slide-deck decision and a shipped one.
How pay works
Rates reach the top of the $70-$160/hr band for depth in high-stakes contexts: platform architecture, two-sided marketplaces, or regulated industries where product calls carry compliance weight. Work is fully remote and billed hourly, released after each task is verified. No minimum and no retainer.
What the work looks like
A sample of the product and platform work you would pick up. Every project is scoped, remote, and paid on verified completion.
- Review an AI-drafted PRD and flag where acceptance criteria are ambiguous or the problem statement confuses symptoms with root causes.
- Evaluate a model's competitive analysis for a SaaS platform and correct where it mischaracterizes moats, switching costs, or a rival's pricing move.
- Write a worked example of a discovery sprint for a B2B feature, narrating who you'd talk to and how you'd scope the opportunity.
- Score a set of machine-written user story maps and identify stories that skip preconditions or that a sprint team could not size.
- Build a calibration set of roadmap tradeoff scenarios with your reasoning attached, showing when a now/next/later call is defensible.
- Audit AI-drafted go-to-market copy and flag positioning claims that would not survive a first call with a technical buyer.
